It is with much excitement that we, in association with Family Health and Wellness, announce the opening of Asheville Academy (www.ashevilleacademy.com). Created for students’ ages 10 to 14, Asheville Academy offers a developmentally-appropriate, clinically-sophisticated, and relationship-driven therapeutic experience to struggling girls and their families.
Located on 25 acres in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains outside of Asheville, NC, Asheville Academy incorporates proven, evidence-based treatment therapies within a loving, compassionate, supportive and fun living environment to effectively meet the social, emotional, and academic needs of our unique population.
Girls struggling with issues ranging from anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, impulsivity, disorganization, and academic underachievement, to lack of respect, defiance, and chaotic behavior within the home receive personalized care that includes individual and group therapy, intensive family-inclusive therapy, on-site equine assisted therapy, community, sport, and adventure-based activities, life-skills coaching, and a challenging academic curriculum to help address their personal concerns and provide them with age-appropriate, concrete tools for success and achievement. With a team that brings more than 55+ years of experience to working with this specific age-group, Asheville Academy is intimately suited to lovingly and efficiently helping young girls achieve their individual potential, while guiding families through the maze of adolescent development.
