Nicole started her career serving individuals with developmental disabilities. It was in that journey that she discovered her passion for the mental health field. Through both life and work experiences, she has discovered the importance of human connection, empowerment, and healing. Nicole is new to the Asheville area and is looking forward to being a part of the Asheville Academy for Girls team.
Nicole received her undergraduate degree at UNC Charlotte. Afterward, she got her Master’s in Social Work, with a clinical focus on children and families, at the University of Southern California. She has experience working with children and adolescents in various settings both residential and in the community. Nicole has also had the opportunity to work with individuals experiencing homelessness, at-risk youth, and inter-community management. These various experiences have shaped Nicole’s clinical perspective and highlighted the importance of both the family system and the individual.
