Michele Mastrototaro

Michele Mastrototaro

Michele has a Master’s degree in Art Education K-12 from Hofstra University and received her Bachelor’s of Fine Arts from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. She began her art teaching career in New York. After relocating to Asheville, Michele has gained experience working with a variety of populations including children, teens and adults with mental health needs.

Michele is excited to be a part of the creative experiences and artistic growth of the students at AAG. Her intention as an art educator is to cultivate awareness and creative self-expression, inspire students to believe in themselves, to realize and achieve goals, and to find joy in creating art.

To teach others, boost self-esteem, facilitate healing and growth, as well as helping them realize their own individual worth is truly a remarkable feeling. Outside of school, Michele can be found working on her own artwork or baking and enjoys spending her time with family, friends and her two fur babies Lagertha and Odin.
