Kayla McCauley

Learning Support Specialist

Kayla has been working with children and adults with various mental health/developmental needs for the last three years. She attended the University of North Carolina at Asheville, where she studied K12 Special Education and received her Bachelor’s degree in Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies. Kayla has found her passion in teaching and believes that the true purpose of education is to provide a space where students, regardless of any circumstance or diagnosis, can grow both academically and personally. She strives to teach her students of their own value, and her hope is that, upon exiting this program, all will possess a renewed sense of belief in themselves. In her personal time, Kayla enjoys reading, fantasy novels in particular, and spending time with her dog Tucker
