Jennifer is a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate and Licensed School Counselor in the state of North Carolina, and a National Certified Counselor. She has a MA in Developmental Psychology with a concentration in Prevention and Early Intervention from Teachers College, Columbia University and a MA in School Counseling from Fairfield University.
Jennifer’s clinical experience includes school counseling, extended day treatment, intensive in-home services, school-based outpatient services, and with youth involved with the department of juvenile justice. Jennifer is a certified yoga teacher and adopts a holistic perspective toward wellness. She works from a strength-based perspective, striving to help children and adolescents build a foundation for a strong, healthy, happy future in body, mind, and spirit. Jennifer’s counseling style is trauma informed and incorporates evidenced based practices such as Community Resiliency Model, Zones of Regulation, and Yoga for Resiliency and Trauma Recovery. She utilizes a system of care approach to collaborate with and strengthen community and family relationships to support and empower students.
When not at work, Jennifer can be found traveling, reading, hiking, stand up paddle boarding, and enjoying the sunshine with her husband and Jack Russell Terrier, Owen.
