Heal and Empower

Therapeutic Boarding School in the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina

Asheville Academy’s mission is to empower youth aged 10-14 who are facing emotional and behavioral challenges by providing a safe, nurturing environment where they can heal and grow. Our team of experienced therapists and educators offers personalized treatment plans and a range of therapeutic activities to help young people build confidence, resilience, and self-esteem. Whether your child is struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, or other issues, we’re here to support them in finding their voice and reaching their full potential. Explore our website to learn more about our program and how we can help your family.

Family-Focused, Results-Driven Therapy

Our family therapy is specifically designed to include the family unit from start until completion with one main goal: reconnecting you with your child in a healthy and meaningful way. Our clinically sophisticated family programming runs parallel to the healing and growth taking place on campus.  Get ready to utilize psychoeducational tools, parent-to-parent discussions, and skills-based webinars to help you parent your unique child.

We're In This Together

You’re not alone at Asheville Academy.   As a team, we’ll develop a plan together to address and correct negative behavior patterns before they lead to more destructive behaviors. Our nurturing environment and relationship-based community provides an emotionally safe space for your child to heal.

Once kids feel safe to be vulnerable, we can start to process any previous trauma, anxiety, negative patterns, and academic issues. Upon completion of the program, your child will develop the confidence and resilience to rebuild strained relationships, advocate for their needs, create healthy boundaries, and face life’s challenges.

Who Is An Asheville Academy Student?

Our program is specifically designed to support families with 10–14-year-old children assigned female at birth (girls, nonbinary individuals, and transgender youth), with case-by-case exceptions for 9-year-olds. Families and children come to our program struggling with challenges they’ve been unable to overcome at home. We intentionally guide and support students and their families to change their lives for the better.

At Asheville Academy, students gain a deeper understanding of their strengths and struggles, expand their self-confidence, and find hope for a brighter future.
