Programs for Troubled Teen Guide Connecticut Girls Towards Success

Growing up is hard. For many Connecticut families, their daughter’s transition into a teenager can best be described as “walking on eggshells”. In the blink of an eye, a girl can shift from being a happy child into someone that may be impossible to recognize. These early years are significant in defining a girls’ adult personality, so it’s important for parents to step in to ensure a healthy future as waiting for her to grow out of this “phase” doesn’t always work. Programs for troubled teens can help young girls who feel lost during this overwhelming period of their lives.

Asheville Academy, a program for troubled teens, helps Connecticut families guide their troubled daughter back on her way to success. We don’t necessarily like the word troubled as we have had years of experience watching girls overcome the troubles they’ve faced. As a therapeutic boarding school for girls ages 10-14, Asheville Academy helps young girls through the most difficult years of their lives.

At Asheville Academy, we emphasize the importance of family involvement. Although it may seem like there is no hope of rebuilding relationships, the programs for troubled teens at Asheville Academy can reconnect parents and children and build the foundation for years of communication and support. Connecticut parents work closely with our experienced professionals to help their daughter overcome challenges she faces during puberty.

Asheville Academy’ Program Helps Troubled Teens from Connecticut

As a therapeutic boarding school, Asheville Academy is a unique program for troubled teens. Many Connecticut girls have a hard time in traditional school settings, with problems ranging from academic struggles to bullying and social rejection. Some of these issues have a significant impact on their academic performance, which reinforces the distress they feel at school. Whereas in traditional school settings, teachers are often overworked and underprepared, Asheville Academy has the resources to provide individualized attention to every student.

As an accredited school, Asheville Academy guarantees that all students are always up-to-date on their education. Asheville Academy helps students integrate into the local community, unlike other programs for troubled teens, to ensure they are never far removed from the “real world.” We reject the idea of young girls being troubled and follow an approach that looks at underlying issues contributing to their unhealthy coping mechanisms.
