Physical Education and Fitness at Asheville Academy For Girls

The Physical Education and Fitness program is an educational course that incorporates the physique of the human body. This program encourages psychomotor learning through play and movement exploration, with the goal to promote health & wellness.  At Asheville Academy we have four Physical Education and Fitness lessons a week.  The students participate in a variety of activities based on an 8 week rotating schedule.  These activities include Soccer, Volleyball, Swimming, Basketball, Team Games, Rock Climbing, Bouldering, Yoga, Zumba, Iron Girls CrossFit, and Cross County.


Recreation Trips and Activities

Each weekend students have the opportunity to participate in on campus or off campus recreation trips and activities.  Recreation trips and activities include many local outdoor recreation exploration. Activities and trips including: Hiking, Bouldering, River Tubing, Snow Skiing, Snow Tubing, Gem Mining, Swimming, Camping, and visiting local Parks and Museums.
