An extraordinary part of our clinical programming is our growing group of therapeutic animals. These animals are a unique attribute of Asheville Academy, and play an important role in helping students improve their emotional awareness, express themselves openly, and develop accountability. Students participate in caring for the animals and bond with them, helping foster relationship boundaries and communication.
Our therapeutic family of animals give students the chance to experience happy and healthy relationships with a wide range of different animals on campus, from newly hatched chicks or bouncing baby goats to our bunnies who love to be cuddled.
