Mentor, Full-time, PRN
Are you interested in inspiring girls, ages 10-14, to fulfill their life’s full potential? Asheville Academy for Girls is searching for direct care candidates who are inspired to support our goal to rebuild, repair, and restore relationships between adolescent girls and their families. In January, we will be relocating to a spacious 97 acre campus in Black Mountain, NC. On the new campus beginning in January, Mentor’s will be working shifts that will look like a schedule of 4 days on shift and 3 days off then 3 days on shift and 4 days off. This will rotate bi-monthly and does include sleeping overnight the 3 or 4 days you are on shift in order to provide overnight supervision for the girls. We are currently seeking both full time and PRN Mentors to start now and move to our new campus in January. Training and on the floor experience will be provided in November and December at our Weaverville location and include shifts from 7:00am -5:00pm, 11:30am- 5:00pm, and 4:30pm- 10:30pm.
Minimum of high school diploma–some college preferred. Interest in the social sciences. Strong boundaries with the ability to set and hold behavioral limits. Ability to manage multiple students and ensure their safety and well being. Ability to work as one member of a large team.
