Cheryl Brown has just returned to the United States after living in England for the past 20 years. She holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree and certification to teach from New Jersey. She gained further teaching qualifications while in England. It was during her time abroad that she founded and was the director of the Drama Studio Workshop, an after-school program that used a mixture of acting skills, puppets, masks, radio drama and improvisation to expose children to a variety of ways that they could have fun while expressing themselves in a creative environment.
Both she and her husband are thrilled to now be living in Asheville. She has always enjoyed the curiosity inherent in young girls and loves fanning the flames of this academic interest at Asheville Academy’s boarding school for troubled youth ages 10 – 14.
